Let’s start with the first recipe, one of our favourites; the lemon drizzle cake!

175 γραμμάρια Ī²ĪæĻĻ„Ļ…ĻĪæ
150 γραμμάρια ζάχαρη
3 αυγά
175 γραμμάρια Ī±Ī»ĪµĻĻĪ¹ που Ļ†ĪæĻ…ĻƒĪŗĻŽĪ½ĪµĪ¹ 
75 γραμμάρια πολέντα 
1 κουταλάκι μπέικιν πάουντερ
2 λεμόνια
Ī£Ī¹ĻĻŒĻ€Ī¹: 175 γραμμάρια ζάχαρη και Ļ‡Ļ…Ī¼ĻŒ Ī±Ļ€ĻŒ τα 2 λεμόνια

Ī•ĪŗĻ„Ī­Ī»ĪµĻƒĪ·
1. Ī‘Ī½Ī±ĪŗĪ±Ļ„ĪµĻĪæĻ…Ī¼Īµ το Ī²ĪæĻĻ„Ļ…ĻĪæ και τη ζάχαρη
2. Ī ĻĪæĻƒĪøĪ­Ļ„ĪæĻ…Ī¼Īµ ĻƒĻ„Īæ μείγμα τα αυγά, το Ī±Ī»ĪµĻĻĪ¹, την πολέντα, την μπέικιν πάουντερ, τη Ļ†Ī»ĪæĻĪ“Ī± Ī±Ļ€ĻŒ τα Ī“ĻĪæ λεμόνια και Ī±Ī½Ī±ĪŗĪ±Ļ„ĪµĻĪæĻ…Ī¼Īµ
3. Βάζουμε το μείγμα ĻƒĻ„Ī· Ļ†ĻŒĻĪ¼Ī± και ĻˆĪ®Ī½ĪæĻ…Ī¼Īµ για 40-50 λεπτά ĻƒĻ„ĪæĻ…Ļ‚ 180 Ī²Ī±ĪøĪ¼ĪæĻĻ‚
4. Ετοιμάζουμε το ĻƒĪ¹ĻĻŒĻ€Ī¹ (ζάχαρη και Ļ‡Ļ…Ī¼ĻŒ Ī»ĪµĪ¼ĪæĪ½Ī¹ĻŽĪ½) - βράζουμε τα Ī“ĻĪæ υλικά
5. ĪšĪ¬Ī½ĪæĻ…Ī¼Īµ Ļ„ĻĻĻ€ĪµĻ‚ ĻƒĻ„Īæ κέικ Ī¼ĻŒĪ»Ī¹Ļ‚ το βγάλουμε Ī±Ļ€ĻŒ τον Ļ†ĪæĻĻĪ½Īæ και Ļ‡ĻĪ½ĪæĻ…Ī¼Īµ το ĻƒĪ¹ĻĻŒĻ€Ī¹

Lemon drizzle cake

Ingredients
175 g butter (room temperature)
150 g caster sugar
3 eggs
175 g self-raising flour 
75 g polenta (cornmeal) 
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 lemons
Syrup: 175 g caster sugar, juice of 2 lemons

What do do 
1. Mix the butter and sugar
2. Add the eggs, flour, polenta, baking powder, lemon rind and mix
3. Spoon the cake mixture into the tin and bake for 40-50 minutes at 180 degrees C.
4. Prepare the lemon syrup. Boil the caster sugar with the juice of the 2 lemons.
5. Make skewer holes in the top of the cake and then spoon over the hot lemon syrup.
