Following three successful years of making a difference for disabled people, we renewed our Disability Confident Committed pledge!
We committed to the following five actions:
- We ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible.
- We communicate and promote vacancies.
- We offer interviews to disabled people.
- We anticipate and provide reasonable adjustments as required.
- We support existing subcontractors who acquire a disability or long-term health condition to stay in work.
For the next three years, we are going to offer:
- Work experience - a fixed period of time that a person spends with our business, when they can learn about working life and the working environment.
- Job shadowing opportunities - offering experience of a workplace and occupational skills that are different from what potential subcontractors are used to.
