Empowering GCSE Teachers at the Hellenic School of Manchester
On Saturday, 26 October 2024, Iraklis Lampadariou, a GCSE in Modern Greek (9-1) expert, delivered a 60-minute interactive face to face seminar for GCSE Teachers at the Hellenic School of Manchester. The session focused on the critical speaking and writing components of the GCSE exams, creating a valuable space for teachers to ask questions, share experiences, and engage in hands-on activities designed to enhance exam preparation techniques.
Through tailored activities, Teachers explored effective strategies for supporting students’ oral and written skills, gaining practical insights and inspiration to apply in their classrooms. By prioritising active participation and real-time feedback, Iraklis fostered a collaborative learning environment, equipping teachers with fresh approaches for student success in the upcoming exams.
We would like to thank the Headteacher of the School, Mrs Vasiliki Tofarou and the School Committee for offering us this great opportunity!
Enjoy your weekend!
Feedback from attendees.
As the headteacher of the Hellenic School of Manchester, I have requested from Iraklis to deliver a seminar -to all of our academic GCSE staff- about the GCSE exams. Iraklis responded promptly and we agreed for when the seminar would take place. He suggested for us to gather our questions and send them in advance of the seminar so he could focus specifically on certain topics. His seminar was very helpful and we are very pleased for the quality of his work as well as the enthousiastic approach during the session.
