New Initiative: Mini Interviews for students of the GCSE in Greek

At Speak Greek, we are always looking for innovative ways to support students preparing for their GCSE in Modern Greek (9-1). That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new initiative - a series of mini interviews with professionals, designed to help students improve their Greek language skills while gaining valuable insights into different careers and cultures.

How Will This Initiative Help Students?

Each interview will focus on one of the five main topics in the GCSE Modern Greek specification - specifically, “Future aspirations, Study and Work” - and will provide multiple benefits, including:

• Ideas for the Speaking Exam (Paper 2) – Gain inspiration for discussions about jobs, careers, and future aspirations.
• Improved Listening Skills (Paper 1) – Train your ear to understand spoken Greek in real-life conversations.
• Stronger Writing Skills (Paper 4) – Use the interviews as a source of ideas for written tasks.
• Exposure to Different Accents – Hear Greek spoken in various regional accents and styles.
• Insights into Life in Greece and the UK – Compare work experiences and job opportunities in both countries.
• Career Inspiration – Learn about different professions and consider future career paths.
