A Memorable Easter Craft Afternoon at Manchester Central Library

Today, Speak Greek brought a burst of creativity and joy to the Children’s Library at Manchester Central Library! In a welcoming space open to all, children aged 5 to 11 gathered to take part in our free Easter craft workshop — a drop-in event filled with colour, laughter, and hands-on fun.

With cost-effective and sustainable materials, each child crafted their own Easter Bunny Holder and a Mini Basket—perfect for little treats and Easter surprises. We focused on recycled paper, card, and household materials, helping young minds understand how creativity and sustainability go hand in hand.

The workshop was designed with accessibility and inclusion at its heart. Families from all backgrounds were warmly welcomed, and the relaxed, drop-in format allowed everyone to join at their own pace. We were delighted to see parents, guardians, and even grandparents getting involved — making it a shared, intergenerational experience.

Events like today show that language learning, culture, and craft can be beautifully interwoven — and made accessible to everyone, no matter their background. It was a joy to witness the smiles, the teamwork, and the pride in each creation!

A big thank you to Manchester Central Library for partnering with us, and to all the families who joined in to make this Easter workshop a truly special, community-focused event.

Stay tuned for more family-friendly, sustainable events from Speak Greek — where learning and creativity always go hand in hand!
